Granular Activated Carbon Filter enhances the water taste Stage 1 – Replacement for Watts 5M-10 – It removes large particles of dirt, sediment, sand, etc. It must be replaced every 3 -6 months. The replacement filter model number is PXO5-9-7/8 manufactured by Purtrex. Stage 2 – Replacement for GAC -10-56. The replacement filter model number is 10-25-190-975 10/2 (KX Matrikx). Stage 3 – Upgraded GAC -10-56 Carbon block post filter which further reduces chlorine taste and odors and other chemicals that may be in the water supply. It needs to be replaced every 12 to 24 months with filter model number 01-250-125-975 1 Kx (Chlorine Guzzler). Stage 4 – TFM 18 reverse osmosis thin film membrane. This 18 gallon per day membrane reduces 93%-98% of dissolved mineral salts and other contaminants in the water supply. Replacement filter model number is TFM-18 1220188. Stage 5 – Inline Carbon Post Filter. A polishing process that removes tastes and odors from the water. It will need to be replaced every 6 to 24 months. Included is 1 – 1micron rigid grooved prefilter, 2 – 0.5 submicron premium grade coconut shell carbon filters, 1- premium grade coconut shell final filter with ¼ inch built in quick connect, no leak fittings for great tasting water. The Reverse Osmosis systems must be sanitized at least once a year. The Sani- system packet removes the messy hassle of measuring and mixing of chemicals and works in only 60 seconds.
