The ceramic filter must be replaced every six months to one year depending on what the household usage and water quality is.

Fluoride water replacement filter cartridge – This filter is designed to work with countertop or undercounter water filter with the fluoride removal feature. This replacement filter will reduce sodium fluoride, fluorosalicic acid and arsenic to safe levels. Again, this filter must be replaced every six months to a year.
