GE Smartwater Refrigerator Water Filter - Is It The Right Choice For You?

This unit meets NSF / ANSI standard 53 for the reduction of 99.3% of Lead, 99.99% of Cysts, 98.54% of Turbidity, 99.6% of Asbestos, 94.7% of Mercury, 99.34% or Alachlor, 94.22% of Atrazine, 99% of Lindane, 98.32% of 2, 4-D, 93.44% of Toxaphene, 96.51% of Benzene, 98.78% of Carbofuran and 99.78% of 1,4 dichlorobenzene. It should be replaced every six months or if your water has a bad taste or odor. 

GE’s GXRTQ Quick Connect in-line water filter is very easy to fit to the water line. It comes with the parts for easy installation. It is NSF/ ANSI certified and tested to reduce chlorine taste and odor, sediment and rust. This filter has an auto shut off feature which enables easy changing of the filter cartridge - GXRTDR. It also has a sticker to write the filter change date on. The filter’s capacity is 6000 gallons or 6 months. The flow rate is .5 GPM and the pressure range is 25 to 125 psi. The maximum temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
