Learn The Benefits Of The 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Systems

Air and water are the two things without which no living organism can survive. Due to growing human population, industry, etc there is a lot of pollution and contamination of these life sustaining elements. Pure and clean water is very important and thus filtering the water has become the need of the day. The reverse Osmosis process involves a diffusion mechanism. Pressure is used to force a solution through a membrane. The solute is retained on one side and the pure solvent is allowed to pass to the other side. The normal Osmosis process involves natural movement of the solvent from an area of low solute concentration through a membrane to an area of high solute concentration and no external pressure is applied. Reverse osmosis also differs from membrane filtration which is essentially like straining.

There are several manufacturers of the 5 stage reverse osmosis water systems but APEC is a trusted name in the business for the past 17 years. Their system is both durable and safe. Their components are FDA/NSF certified and the filter housings are capable of withstanding extreme pH and pressure changes without leaking or bursting. The advanced reverse osmosis membranes boast of the highest contaminant removal rate. There is no water wastage as the system will shut of automatically once the tank is full. It can treat tap water, well water, hard water, variable water pressures and extreme pH. The filter cartridges and membranes are long lasting and drinking water is produced very fast. The system is very low maintenance and all you need to do is change the 3 pre filters once a year.

The 5 stages of purification are as follows:

Stage 1 – Osmonics 5 micron 10” high capacity polypropylene sediment filter is responsible for removal of dust, particles and rust.

Stage 2 – KX Extruded Carbon block 5 micron 10” which eliminates chlorine taste and odors, cloudiness and color.

Stage 3 – KX Extruded Carbon block 5 micron 10” removes any remaining chlorine taste and odors and extends the membranes life and the pre-filters efficiency.

Stage 4 – Filmtec High Rejection TFC reverse osmosis membrane .0001 micron – this is the heart of the system and produces drinking water at the rate of 45 gallons per day.

Stage 5 – Omnipure total polishing carbon 10” removes any residual tastes and odors from the tank.

The tank is a premium 4 gallon pressurized tank and the faucet is a lead free, long reaching goose neck one. It has color coded food grade tubing. The check valve is heavy duty stainless steel and there is a clog free, calibrated flow restrictor. Complete installation hardware is provided.  They also give you free gifts with your purchase which include an extra pre-filter set and a TDS meter.

It is important to check the various systems available in the market before choosing the right one for your water purification needs. The internet is a good place to start your research and then you can speak to a knowledgeable sales representative to get all the information you need.

They claim NSF and FDA certification yet I can't find this verfication from the FDS or the NSF. Other water filter systems are listed there, but why isn't Apec listed if they are truly certified.
